All of our custom built houses and Massachusetts modular homes are energy-efficient and meet or exceed Energy Star requirements. In addition, all of our homes can be designed to meet Universal Design requirements.
 In collaboration with Design Basics, one of the nation’s largest designers of residential home plans, EBS is pleased to offer designs that actually meet the multifaceted needs of today’s home buyers. We design homes that reflect the way you actually live, with plentiful storage, seamlessly integrated relaxation areas, and places to entertain both formally and casually. Additionally, much consideration is given to rooms that can be flexible as your family's requirements change.
Green Building
There are currently more than 70 local and regional programs for determining what it means to be green or a High Performance House in the United States but the two main guidelines are those established by the Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Program and the National Associations of Home Builders (NAHB). More guidelines and programs are in the works including The National Green Building Standard accredited by ANSI. At EBS we firmly believe in building “Green” and are pleased to offer customers:

- Homes that meet the NHBA Green Home Building Guide Lines,
- Energy Star qualified homes, and
- Natural Timber Frame Homes built in the vernacular.
